Lets Relax Spa

Let’s Relax Spa (Suan Plu Branch)

‘Let’s Relax Spa’ is an alternative to Health Land, which has become very popular and gets really busy most of the time. They already have 11 branches spread across Bangkok and 10 more all over the country. There is even one branch in Kunming, China.

You can visit their website to find an outlet nearest to you!

Booking a Session

At first, I attempted a walk-in but it was fully booked. I’d suggest calling in beforehand to check on the availability or even book a time slot in advance (I did that on the next day).

I selected the Body and Soul Package (2,300 baht). It consists of a 1-hr body scrub or body wrap and a 1-hr aromatherapy oil massage. The phone booking was efficient and fuss-free (no credit card details were required).

You get a 15 percent discount for spa packages if you book online (unfortunately I only found this out later).

I received a welcome drink mere seconds upon my arrival. After choosing the scrub formula and the scent for the aromatherapy oil, the staff promptly guided me to the private massage room.

The Massage

The massage room is similarly decorated like most spas of this range in Thailand. It’s clean and quite spacious. There are a clothes rack for you to hang your clothes and a safety deposit box to keep your belongings.

There’s also a shower inside the massage room for you to shower before the massage. Depending on the type of massage and package you choose, they may also provide a disposable underwear and a bathrobe for you.

Let’s start with the body scrub. I chose the mixture of black sesame and honey (sounds yummy) for the body scrub.

It took the masseuse a fair amount of time to apply the mixture of sesame and honey all over my body but it was extremely relaxing and calming.

After the scrub, the masseuse wrapped me up under a blanket. Slowly the bed I was lying on became heated! I could feel myself perspiring underneath the blanket (and hopefully losing weight in the process).

10 very warm minutes later, another shower and straight back to the bed for the oil massage.

Lasting Impression

I’ve had many oil massages in my life, but this one at Let’s Relax is definitely at the top of my list. I left the room feeling rejuvenated.

They use a warm towel to wipe you down at the end so you don’t have to shower again. Thank God.

Furthermore, 2 hours means exactly 2 hours on the dot. I really liked this because at some places, the session ended 5 to 10 minutes earlier. I wouldn’t have minded a couple of extra minutes though.

To top off my experience at Let’s Relax, what awaited me at the end of the massage was a plate of yummy mango with sticky rice!

The high quality massage, the cleanliness of the place and the terrific service of Let’s Relax Suan Plu has done nothing but impress me.

Compared to its competitors, the prices at Let’s Relax may be a bit high but I feel it offers the best value for money. I’ll definitely be back for their other massages and spa packages on my next trip to Thailand. Two thumbs up!
